Freddy Pharkas, Frontier Pharmacist

Sierra On-Line, 1993

A fine Western Comedy Adventure Game, similar to the Larry series. Al Lowe's bawdy and bizarre sense of humor finds a new home in the Old West. Play as Freddy Pharkas, once a wacko cowboy, who abandoned his previous life for good to become a pharmacist. But the events of the time will bring him to a point where  he has to pick up his old profession again. Enjoy challenging puzzles, outrageous plot twists and every Western cliche you can expect. You'll laugh so much you won't be able to shoot straight!

Armaeth: The Lost Kingdom

Real World Multimedia, 1993

If you enjoyed the King's Quest series, you won't want to miss Armaeth: The Lost Kingdom. Created in the King''s Quest style, this thoroughly enjoyable adventure sets you on a quest to find the lost kingdom of Armaeth. The charming graphics and locations more than make up for a slightly clumsy interface, and while the puzzles are somewhat easy, at least for the seasoned adventurer, they are nevertheless interesting and enjoyable.

Amazon: Guardians of Eden

Access Software, 1992

In this impressive adventure from Access, you take on the role of Jason Roberts, a man investigating his elder brother's mysterious disappearance from an expedition to the Amazon. Search the dark jungle of the Amazon for clues as you adventure through uncharted territory.

The puzzles are quite good, as are the super VGA graphics, whereas the game can also be played in normal VGA mode. The character can be controlled by mouse or using arrow keys on the keyboard with all the actions icons displayed at the middle of the screen for easy game play. The inventory can be popped up at anytime by clicking the inventory icon. Anyhow, Amazon is a great treat for Sierra and LucasArts adventures fans.
